229. Steps to Solve a Person's Financial Problems
1. Check karmic debts - see if there are any spirits tormenting you or holding you back. If so, remove them first. 2. Solve opportunity problems. (1) Blessings - Tang Bohu was very capable, but his blessings were problematic, which led to no one employing him. The size of one's abilities and the size of one's opportunities and interpersonal relationships are two different things. Some people were high-ranking officials in their past lives, and they were good at dealing with people, but they were a bit greedy and took their concubines to travel around every day. If one's blessings are depleted, one can only become a regional general manager of a small listed company in this life. If one does not do good deeds and depletes blessings in this life, one can probably only work for a small company in the next life. Without blessings, one can't succeed no matter what - successful people have blessings and help when they encounter problems, and they can get through them and succeed. Blessings come from benefiting a lot of sentient beings. Dharma giving can generate immeasurable merit - the amount of positive change to the future of a certain sentient being determines the amount of merit. First benefit sentient beings and increase blessings, then you can encounter good things. Many girls can't find a partner because their blessings are not good - first increase blessings, then talk about finding a partner. The underworld is very rich—they earn their wealth through the merits of the heavens. Many underworld figures are reincarnations of Asuras, with questionable character but merits in the heavens, having died defending the frontier or killing enemies. (2) Connections and popularity—most people will never meet someone with exceptionally good karma throughout their lives. Even if a reincarnation of a great Bodhisattva is an illiterate village girl, many people are willing to ask her for favors and be close to her—because she has helped countless people through countless reincarnations and has exceptionally high blessings. Relationships between people are segmented, and in the end, one must maintain good causes and good results. If one cannot do so, one should at least part amicably. When all beings have good karma, you don't need to be strong in everything—you only need to maintain good relationships with capable people and let them handle things you don't know how to do. The use of the seemingly useless is the greatest use.
230. Opportunities for ordinary humans to obtain good karma from all living beings
1. Ability – The stronger your abilities, the more willing others are to associate with you, because you can bring value to them. Ability is used to attract others to exchange benefits with you – everyone feels comfortable during the exchange, the relationship lasts, and good karma is established. Good academic performance is also a way to acquire abilities – getting into a large company and gaining access to good platform resources. But this is very difficult now. 2. Resources – Having money, power, or resources, most people don't have these. 3. Bloodline inheritance – A father passing on his business to his son. 4. Marriage – This leads to resource and networking exchanges; it's best to marry someone of equal social standing, otherwise problems are likely to arise. 5. Recommendation – You must be exceptionally good in all aspects for others to be willing to recommend you; recommending someone comes with responsibility. 6. Morality – The only chance for ordinary people to rise to the top.
231. Three types of people who can be promoted in a company
The first approach is from top to bottom—leaders look at employees. Who wouldn't want to use someone with good character, discreet words, quick wit, and ability to work? The first choice is someone with both virtue and talent; the second is someone with virtue; the third is someone with talent (if they aren't the leader's people, use them temporarily); the fourth is someone who is neither talented nor virtuous, a useless person. The second approach is from the perspective of the masses—someone who excels in all aspects, is highly admired and respected by subordinates, and has a certain opportunity to move up—but subordinates' approval doesn't necessarily mean approval from above. The third approach is when ordinary people become successful, and then people are chosen based on their past experiences and deemed reliable.
232. Criteria for Selecting Leaders
1. Has he/she ever resisted superiors? – Those who like to resist are unsuitable; their achievements may overshadow the leader's. 2. The leader's evaluation of his/her abilities. 3. Is he/she impatient, lacks perseverance, and has insufficient endurance? – He/she cannot be given important responsibilities; he/she is only suitable for favorable situations. 4. Is he/she particularly calculating? – Those with shifty eyes are prone to betrayal; they cannot be given important responsibilities. 5. Is he/she quick-witted? – Those who are not quick-witted are unlikely to stay in a long-term position. 6. Does he/she have problems understanding certain things? – He/she is not suitable for management; he/she is only suitable for leadership roles. 7. Does he/she have problems with execution? – Those who make many demands and requests are disliked by leaders. 8. Does he/she make too many excuses when problems arise? – He/she cannot be given important responsibilities. 9. Does he/she often compromise on execution? – Use with caution. 10. Does he/she disrespect superiors? – Unsuitable. 11. Slow execution speed, suspicious, and loose-lipped – Unsuitable. 12. Does he/she make reckless promises? – Unsuitable. 13. Is resentful? – Unsuitable. 14. Does he/she overstep authority or have difficulty distinguishing between positions? – Unsuitable. 15. Likes to argue with peers – not suitable for important positions, only for deputy roles. 16. Likes to monopolize resources – lacks teamwork spirit, not suitable for important positions. 17. Uses petty benefits to maintain relationships with subordinates – a company priority to crack down on. 18. Receives negative feedback from subordinates – poor interpersonal skills, unlikely to advance. Doing these things will leave a good impression on superiors and colleagues – in case someone's career takes off, they'll remember you and contact you.
233. Money Tests Dreams
Many practitioners feel that making money is wrong—that they've become trapped in the world. The latter half of Mahayana Buddhism reveres Vimalakirti—money itself isn't the obstacle; it's your mind that's obstructed. Money is a very important rule in the world; first, you should make more money, but you shouldn't have the thought of making money while doing so—you gain without thought or desire. How to avoid being bound by money when you have it, and how to be indifferent when you suddenly have no money—these three points are crucial for overcoming greed for money. Unexpected wealth is unacceptable—a test in dreams: if you find money on the ground and pick it up, you're doomed. Yesterday someone said they were tested in a dream—dreaming of taking money from an ATM, and then it spewed out a lot more money, which they thought was great. Picking it up is disastrous; it's greed. Different stages of practice are different. It's fine at the stage of severing attachments. At a higher level of practice—cultivating immunity isn't about isolation; you can't refuse money, and money will test your ability to accept it. He was given countless sums of money but remained unmoved—he drove a car worth one or two hundred thousand yuan, ensuring it was safe and comfortable when buying it; his official car was for the clients' appearance, while he wore only shorts and a vest in his daily life. Money didn't become a burden; instead, it became a tool for benefiting others and allocating resources. One must have a correct view of money.
234. The Way and Following the Trend
The Way is the opportunity. Going against the wind is definitely difficult—choosing to start a business during economic adjustments is going against the trend; regions suppressed by other countries are prone to problems in international trade. Following the Way, benefiting without harming is very important. It's best to do things that benefit all beings—making money and receiving rewards from the Way, forming a positive cycle, such as teachers and doctors. Ordinary jobs are neither beneficial nor harmful—they deplete one's blessings, such as programmers, steamed bun sellers, or street sweepers. The worst are illegal jobs—not only depleting merit and blessings, but also burning them out, such as gambling, prostitution, and drugs. An ordinary person is lucky to encounter one opportunity in their lifetime, each lasting three to five years. First, understand the ABCs of fortune—check your career and financial fortune, understand which years your financial fortune will be concentrated in, make money quickly during those years, and then be more cautious afterward; don't expect things to get better and better. Checking your career and financial fortune helps you determine the right direction, know your own limitations, and accept that you are an ordinary person—spend money wisely and avoid buying unrealistic things. Some people believe that "my fate is in my own hands, not in the hands of heaven" and do things far beyond what they are blessed with, causing their family life to collapse—affecting not only themselves, but also their spouses, children, and parents.
235. Methods to Improve Luck
1. Obtaining a luck charm – It doesn't help much. It used to work well, but now it's ineffective on its own due to the current economic climate. 2. Obtaining a ritual implement – Small ritual implements have energy. If your income is around 10,000, obtaining a ritual implement along with a charm can boost it a bit. However, it's not very helpful for incomes above 300,000. 3. Replenishing the treasury – Problems with the treasury lead to financial leakage or a lack of income.
236. How a girl can find her ideal partner
Many girls say, "Quickly, let me see if I have a good match. If this one doesn't work, find me another one"—your blessings are limited; no matter how you look, you'll only find the best of a bad bunch. Don't rush into finding a partner. First, improve your blessings and resolve issues related to marriage. If your blessings aren't high enough, you can only find those kinds of people—out of ten perfect scores, you can only find someone who passes three, failing the other seven. No matter how you pick, they'll all be the same. Improve your blessings first, and everything will be much easier. My students didn't believe this before, but now they've all found good men—you must let Heaven arrange things for you. Blessings solve the problem of opportunity—if you don't get opportunities, it's useless; no matter how you look, it'll be the same. If you get opportunities, any man will be suitable. Finding a man in the spiritual path is excellent—men have reverence and are less likely to do bad things; they'll support you, and you'll know your background—they've thoroughly investigated your birth chart, future wealth, health, temperament, blessings, and family situation. Why can't wealthy people make you happy? It's too much trouble. Improve your blessings first; without blessings, there are no opportunities.
237. Why are people of good character valued and promoted by their leaders?
There's a young woman in the story club—she's very virtuous and capable. She's been with the club since she graduated from school. Whenever I say something in the group chat, she immediately transcribes it into text and shares it with everyone. No one asks her to do this; she does it voluntarily and without expecting anything in return. As the business grew and we needed an assistant, I assigned her tasks—and she excelled at peripheral work. Virtuous, discreet, quick-witted, and hardworking—who wouldn't want to work with her? Now her salary is steadily increasing. She created her own opportunities—among all these young women, she was the first to do so, leaving a unique impression on the leadership.
238. Heavy-duty magical artifact crystal
If energy assistance is needed, heavy ritual implements are required—but such implements are scarce each year, and suitable crystals haven't been found for a year. Crystal balls used to exist, but the mountain in front of the mine has been hollowed out, and the crystal balls from the mountain behind are impure—impure energy is unusable, so you can hardly find them anymore. Small treasure bowls used to cost around 1000 yuan each, capable of bringing 300,000 to 400,000 yuan in wealth—enough for a year; those capable of bringing a million yuan would only last six or eight months before losing their energy. Previously, only a few crystal caves were found each year; now, the waiting list for crystal caves is 20 years from now. Every time I go to the crystal cave manufacturer—I can find 3 to 5 energetic crystals in a cave, the rest are empty. No matter how big or beautiful they are, without energy, they're useless at home. Larger crystal caves can bring over 100,000 yuan in wealth for two to three years—but the consumption is huge.
